The Karlsbad Volkslauf has been a staple in the calendar of many runners for over 30 years and attracts numerous participants each year. This year, there were more than 800 registrations, half of which were in the youth races, including the 2 km Sparkassen Schülerlauf and the 400 m Bambinilauf. The courses run on paved paths into the nearby forest and offer both 5 km and 10 km distances. Mayor Björn Kornmüller praised the excellent organization and the enthusiastic participation despite the rain.
